About Amazon

Karaoke Amazon is at 119-121 Tân Sơn Nhì Street in Tân Phú, in the residential west of Ho Chi Minh City. The official website describes it as centrally placed in Tân Phú with a large car park, and the same operator runs Las Vegas karaoke on Tây Thạnh Street in Tân Phú and Holiday karaoke in Bình Tân. There are other karaoke venues called Amazon in the city, including one in Gò Vấp, so make sure you are heading to the Tân Sơn Nhì address.

Rooms and atmosphere

The room list on the website has three types: super-VIP rooms that hold up to 30 people, luxury rooms for around 20 and mini-bar rooms for 10. The official photos show neon line lighting, hexagon-patterned walls, big screens and illuminated tables, and one shows a room dressed up for a birthday party. It promotes international-standard audio, touchscreen song selection and a constantly updated library covering Vietnamese pop, bolero and international hits, and it stresses a full fire-safety system.

How it works and pricing

Room prices are listed only as "contact us" on the website, so we have no official figures. There is a proper kitchen menu with Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls, shaking beef, grilled dried squid and salads, so you can eat as well as sing. As at most local karaoke venues, expect an hourly room fee plus food and drinks, and a separate tip if you request table-service staff; ask for rates when you book.

Location and getting there

The address is 119-121 Tân Sơn Nhì, Tân Phú District, southwest of Tân Sơn Nhất Airport. Allow about 30 minutes by car from District 1. Bookings are by phone or Zalo on 0902 459 329; the website lists the hotline as staffed 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Tips

Book the room type that fits your group: mini-bar, luxury or super-VIP.
For birthdays, ask about decorations and bringing your own cake.
Parking is easy if you are driving or being driven.
