If you're here around a big holiday, expect closures near the river and Nguyen Hue.

April 30 2025 (the 50th anniversary) and Sept 2 had big events and drone shows on the Saigon river. Many years there are fireworks at New Year and Tet too.

D1 roads get closed off, so Grab drop-offs end up a few blocks away. Just walk.

Airport is packed over Tet, Apr 30 to May 1 and Sept 2. Leave extra time for ho chi minh airport to district 1 on those days.
