Forget the rooftops. Corner shop, ice bucket, a plate of peanuts and grilled stuff, plastic stools on the footpath.

Everyone shouts 'một hai ba dzô' every 5 minutes and you just join in.

Cheapest and friendliest night I had all trip.

    The grilled okra and dried squid with beer. Nothing beats it.

    Ice in beer felt wrong for 2 days and then it just made sense in that heat.

    Exactly. Warm beer at 30 degrees is the real crime.

    Hanoi has the bia hoi corners, Saigon does it more spread out. Both great.
