dress code for clubs in D1? shorts and sneakers ok?

Only packed light. Will I get turned away in shorts? Sneakers are clean white ones if that matters.

    shorts are hit or miss at the bigger clubs, long pants and a collared shirt is the safe bet. bars and rooftops are more relaxed
