korean-style karaoke vs local karaoke in saigon, what's the difference?

Seen both mentioned around Le Thanh Ton and Phu My Hung. Is there an actual difference or is it just who runs it?

Group of 4 guys, mostly want to sing badly and have a few beers.

korean-run places tend to have a big korean and english song catalog, staff who speak a bit of english or korean, and set menus. local spots are more vietnamese pop, cheaper beer, louder lol

pricing works differently from place to place, not really by 'type'. ask what's included before you commit, both styles will tell you

so basically pick based on the song list. we'll probably try a local one first

the local one we went to was a blast, staff were super friendly even with zero shared language
