what's normal to tip at karaoke and at massage places?

Coming from the UK where we barely tip. Read that vietnam isn't a tipping country but massage seems different?

Don't want to be stingy but also don't want to overdo it.

tipping isn't mandatory in vietnam generally. massage is the one place where it's kind of expected. amounts vary a lot, ask at the counter what's usual, a lot of spots have a set amount they'll tell you

fair enough, i'll just ask at the counter

some spas already add a service charge, so check the bill first. same at karaoke, see if service charge is on there before adding anything

i won't give numbers because it changes place to place. ask first, nobody minds the question
