my travel esim ran out of data on day 9, what i did

Bought a 10 day eSIM before flying, burned through it with maps and video calls.

Topping up through the eSIM app worked but felt pricey, so I grabbed a local Viettel SIM at a phone shop with my passport.

If you're staying more than a week or two, local SIM is probably the better deal. Short trip, eSIM is just easier.
