3 months living in thao dien: honest pros and cons

Pros: walkable(ish), loads of cafés and brunch places, quieter than D1, easy to find furnished apartments, metro station nearby.

Cons: prices feel closer to home in some spots, it's a bit of an expat bubble, some lanes flood when it pours.

Would I stay again? Yes, but next time I'd split time with D3 for more local food.

Fair list. The bubble thing is real but it's also why it's easy to settle in.

Metro into Ben Thanh is the underrated perk. Skips all the bridge traffic.

Floods on my lane too lol. Ground floor places, check before signing.

Yeah, ask the landlord about rainy season straight up.
