PSA: vapes are banned in Vietnam now, leave it at home

Seeing this asked a lot so here's what I know.

Since Jan 1 2025 e-cigs and heated tobacco are banned: making, selling, importing and using.

A newer decree sets fines for users at roughly 3 to 5 million VND and they can confiscate the device. Applies to foreigners too.

So for anyone searching vape vietnam 2026 or vape vietnam airport: don't pack it, not even in checked luggage. Just not worth it.

    heated tobacco is included as far as i know, yeah

    good to know, i honestly assumed it was like thailand where it's a grey area. glad i read this before packing
